I LOVE and I mean, LOVE my essential oils! I have been using them for years in many different ways. Yes, of course, it’s always nice to take that deep breath in at the end of the facial when your Esthetician is massaging your scalp, but I have compiled a list of my favorite uses for them too.
I hope you enjoy!
The #1 RULE IS TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PURE Essential Oils. This means they are not just for fragrance only.
Skin Toner – 4 drops Lavender and Rosewood in a 2 oz spray bottle. Fill the rest of the way with Witch Hazel. After cleansing, spritz on your face!
Acne – 4 drops Bergamot, 2 drops Basil, 3 drops Frankincense, 2 drops Lavender. Fill the rest of a 2 oz bottle with witch hazel – apply directly to the blemished area.
Sunburn – 3 tsp avocado oil and 2 tsp aloe vera gel – add 15 drops Lavender, 8 drops of Chamomille – apply to the affected areas.
Cold Sores – 15 drops of Sandlewood, 15 drops Tea Tree oil with 1/2 oz grapeseed oil. Apply to affected area up to 3 times a day.
Headaches – apply Peppermint oil to your temples
Poison Ivy – Combine 4 drops Tea Tree oil with 2 drops Lavender – mix with Aloe Vera gel and apply to the affected areas.
Bee Sting – Lavender OR Tea Tree oil with Coconut oil directly on the sting
Restful SLEEP – 5-6 drops Lavender and Valerian added to a 1 oz spray bottle mixed with water. Spritz on your pillow case – OR Add the oils to your warm bath before bed.
Eucalyptus – Apply directly to the inside of the nose or put on your hands in the steamy shower. Breathe in……….
Appetite Suppressant – Inhale Grapefruit oil from your hands or a diffuser to help curb that appetite!
